"So cute and just oozing with hospitality! This place is a must-stay if you're in the Pioneertown area.

Due to the new owners (who are SOOOO NICE) this place has really improved. Cozy rooms with little kitchens in them, the best heaters on this side of the planet if it's cold outside, and you've got your own porch with swings to gaze at the stars!

And it's just steps away from Pappy & Harriet's (the best roadhouse ever with great traveling musical acts). Get loaded at Pappy's, stumble back to your room, and either cozy up for a night in or sit outside and gaze at the stars.

It has a very rustic, vintage, old west feel and is a definite experience for anyone who likes experiencing something a little off the beaten path."

"Pets are allowed, staff (at the time) was very friendly, the room was clean, the motel is way more interesting than some generic chain hotel, and the surrounding desert is gorgeous. Worth every star."

"I love this place. It always feels like home.

Such a charming aesthetic to this desert oasis. This place used to be the place stay for Hollywood's biggest Western stars. Just up the road is a ghost town/filming area where they used to shoot old west scene's. This motel was a home away from home for the likes of John Wayne, Gene Autrey, etc..

The rooms are all named after a star, and they're is a honey moon suite too. How cute! Most of the rooms have fireplaces and kitchenette's. So you can bring food with you for a long weekend.

A lot of my friends bands play here from time to time. It's a lot of fun to come out and listen to music until late at night. Then take a short walk to watch the stars in the desert sky. And when your sleepy your room is nice an cozy and close by.

So convenient and  inexpensive. I love this place!"

"If you're looking for a fancy hotel with all the amenities, this may not be the place for you.  But, if you're looking for a rustic, unique experience in a motel with a lot of history and soul, you'll love this place........ The motel is a short walk/stumble to Pappy and Harriet's or Mane Street, and 20-30 minutes from attractions like The Integratron and the west gate of Joshua Tree National Park.  Stay up late and stargaze, wake up early and watch the most gorgeous sunrise you'll ever see."
